What's A Chronic Condition?

Most of my patients just want to feel like themselves again.

But they are getting no answers or effective treatment from their doctors. 

If this describes you, then you are suffering from a chronic health condition. Chronic doesn't refer to how severe it is, just that it doesn't go away. Medical doctors can only manage chronic symptoms with drugs, they have no medical cure.

If you're worried that your health problems will worsen, you're right. Treatment for chronic conditions only addresses the symptoms while the cause worsens, resulting in more issues over time. 

You deserve your health so you can live the best possible life. Discovering that you have a chronic condition can threaten this.

This is personal to me, as I developed a severe chronic condition in my 20s. Discovering that there was no solution and a severe probable outcome, I was highly motivated to find a different approach. I resolved my own problem and have spent almost 30 years researching and helping others with chronic conditions.

What Causes Chronic Health Conditions?

Some of the upset and frustration can be reduced just by understanding WHY you have these problems.

Chronic health conditions start when your body's ability to maintain and heal itself becomes compromised. 

Your body takes daily damage and must repair itself. But in the past, your body hit a problem that it couldn't solve which became more severe over time.

The Prime Directive

Your body's "prime directive" is to keep you alive as long as possible. Your body knows you're more likely to step in front of a bus if you don't feel well, so it attempts to keep you comfortable and alert by hiding symptoms from you. 

For years, your body has had increasing difficulty hiding this problem from you. It's been robbing Peter, paying Paul, and running traffic around the shoulders trying to keep this problem hidden.  This all may have started ten years before you had the first symptom. 

Then, some part of this problem leaked out as a symptom because of a big stress, or a lack of resources to control it.



With your body compromised and unable to hide the problem, it developed additional symptoms, leaving you in your current state. This can lead to being on multiple drugs.

The Root Cause

The root cause of your problem is a decade-long slow-motion train wreck. Your body tried one desperate thing after another to keep you as comfortable as it could until, finally, it lost control, and you developed multiple symptoms. 

The complexity of this is beyond anyone's understanding.

No one is qualified to be a doctor for a chronic health condition if you define "doctor" as "somebody who knows what they're doing." 

The Solution

Your body is run for you by an onboard intelligence, or you wouldn't have time to do anything else. This entity knows what caused your problem and how to fix it but lacks the resources it needs to succeed.

Thirty years ago, I realized I needed to change roles. Your doctor is your body's intelligence. We became doctor assistants, helping the body by giving it the resources it tests for. 



My job is to test and find out what your body needs so that we can be better assistants. We test in many ways, including functional lab testing, to discover what is happening deep down. Then we assist the body to succeed with what it's already trying to do: get past whatever barrier it's running into and back to healing itself normally.

Results

As your body heals, your symptoms may resolve rapidly, and because the cause of the problem resolves, your symptoms are unlikely to come back. Importantly, you won't live the rest of your life with a body that can't fully heal and maintain itself, which can lead to all sorts of trouble.

At your first visit, we thoroughly test you to find out what your body is hanging up on, what organ is primarily causing that problem, and what is the cause of that stress. The doctor will get the information to design your treatment program and will tell you if we can help.

At a second consultation visit, you'll review what our testing found. You'll learn the physical issues causing your problems, the details of the treatment program designed for you, and all the logistics (how long it will take, how often you need visits, diet, and lifestyle changes, and what it will cost).
